Interivew with designer Jules of REINA DVINE and Ms Rococo Lee.

GP: HI there Jules, thanks for meeting us today, we love your new collection. Do tell us your secrets and why you started up REINA DVINE?
RD: I have always wanted to be my own boss but I had no idea what I should do. Until years ago, I was doing a fashion show for a mass brand, and hence I was in charged of the whole styling of the event, from the outfits right down to accessories include quirky costume jewelry too.
After the end of the fashion show, most of the fashion editors loved how I styled the models for the show. Some of the quirky costume jewelry I bought from the show and I actually took some back to remake it so that it did not look like the ones that you bought on the street and my colleagues loved it that they bought some of the ones that we used during the fashion show. And then I realized that I had a talent to make my own jewelry line. So that's how my interest started....and i just kept reading lots of beading books and attended beading classes to improve my skills.
I am also into one-of-a-kind stuff so that I won't turn up in an event wearing the same thing as the other guests in the event. That would be so embarrassing.

GP: How long have you had been doing it? jewellery design?
RD: I have been doing for 3 years already.
GP: Love the DVINE name, where and how did you come up with the company name?
RD: REINA is my middle name since I'm a catholic. The word "Dvine" was to dedicate the name to God, as he has been there for me always and taking care of me.GP: Oh, we were feeling rather angelic in your presence.
GP: So what were you doing before this?
RD: I was a marketing person in fashion and beauty industry for many years. From high end to high street brands. And it's only this year I started to do full time to focus on bringing my business to another level - that is to have more unique retailers even overseas retailers to carry my line.
GP: Where do your fab design inspirations come from?
RD: My inspirations come from everywhere from art deco, fabrics and the fabulous nature in Bali.
GP: So what’s next for your collection?
RD: My latest collection are using elements from nature like pearls, seashells and crystals from nature ie: jade, tree agate, amazonite....I'm in to green this season....
GP: What’s your fav piece in the collection right now?

GP: Who’s your fav fashion designer local and international right now?
RD: My fave fashion designer is Alexander Mcqueen and Pygmees (French designer) from Bali.
GP: Had any diva-like customers? How do you cope with them?
RD: I have been lucky so far and if i do have it. I will try my best to make them happy. :P Because i believe in "Treat others as you would have them treat you".
GP: Hey, we love the necklace you are wearing today, where is that from?
